What makes Take Five special?
Our goal at Take Five is to develop relationships with our client families; therefore, we do not require a screening process. We feel that if a person walks through the doors of Take Five, they have a need in one of three areas: physical (needing toilet paper, soap, etc.), emotional (needing someone to just LISTEN, and then seek a referral to other agencies or services), or spiritual. By showing our client families care and compassion, we are able to build relationships that will allow us to refer them to other service agencies, so that they may receive the help they need.
Can a person obtain more than one of the same item in a one-month period (i.e. 5 packages of baby diapers)?
No. We limit a client from obtaining more than one of each item. This helps to prevent abuse of our services and allows us to further stretch our resources.
How do you fund your organization?
Take Five is a public 501(c)3 charity. Our funding relies on you, the generous giver, to keep our doors open. Please contact our Executive Director,
What would be the BEST WAY that I could help Take Five Community Outreach?
In addition to monetary donations, we ask that you invite us to speak at your church, service organization or place of employment. We offer seminars that will educate, motivate and inspire your group to activism within our community.
